Once again, another year is upon us. I wish you all a very happy, healthy and prosperous New Year.
The 2023 reunion was another success, thanks to all of you that were able to attend it with us. Unfortunately, the SVA lost Frank Pacek at the reunion. He served with MCB8 in Vietnam in the late 60’s like many of us did, and he will be missed.
We had close to 50 bees and their significant others attend. We had 24 from MCB1, 11 from 10 and 5 from 9. It was very nice to see them all in one place again. Thanks to everyone who helped us get the hospitality suite together. Everyone enjoyed themselves as we usually do.
The hotel was very accommodating, and they were happy to see us there again. The changes to the lobby made it much easier to have the reunion with the SVA. We were able to set up the silent auction in the lobby, so it was easy for people to bid on their choice of items. Thank you to all who donated and bought items. We had five tables of great items. Frank Pacek personally donated five beautiful, framed puzzle pictures that he and his girlfriend put together. The proceeds from them were donated back to the SVA. Thanks again to all who participated.
The 2024 reunion is going to be in Rhode Island. Peter and Andrew have been busy making arrangements with the same hotel that we had in 2013. The dates will be Oct. 20-24. We will get more information out on that to you and will be posted on Facebook and the website. And if you have any changes for emails, let Vicki and Gary know.
